The Story
After three months of pandemic lockdown, the New Hampshire seacoast was the first place I went. Hampton Beach in mid-June — cold water, empty boardwalk, a bagged lunch on the sand because indoor dining wasn't open yet.
It wasn't a trip so much as a reset. The first time I'd been outside Massachusetts in a long stretch.
