Five days at a rental on Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton, NH. By September the COVID summer had a rhythm — masks, sanitizer, pods of friends, outdoor everything. Days on the water, evenings on the porch.
The Lakes Region in early fall is one of the most under-appreciated landscapes in New England. You can see the maples starting to turn from the boat.
