The Story

JetBlue from Boston to San Juan. Five days on the island, including a trip to Toroverde Adventure Park in Orocovis for THE MONSTER — one of the longest ziplines in the world. You’re flying over a valley at ridiculous speed for what feels like an unreasonable amount of time.

Old San Juan was colorful and walkable, the food was incredible, and the post-hurricane recovery was still visible everywhere. Puerto Rico has a resilience that’s hard to overstate.

I’d come back to Puerto Rico twice more — once for El Yunque Rainforest, once for another round in San Juan. It keeps pulling me back.
