All-inclusive in Playa del Carmen with a Magnificent Mile detour
United through Houston to Cancún, then down the coast to Playa del Carmen. The Wyndham Alltra — adults-only, all-inclusive, beach and pool and unlimited food. The kind of trip where the hardest decision is which pool to sit at.
On the way home I routed through Chicago for two nights. The Hilton on the Magnificent Mile, deep-dish pizza, the riverwalk. Chicago in June is one of the best cities in America — warm, energetic, and everything is outside.
The Mexico-to-Chicago pivot was becoming a pattern in my travel — mixing beach decompression with urban exploration on the same trip. Get the tan, then go see a city.
