Caribbean Cruise
Barbados, Trinidad, Tobago, St. Lucia, St. Maarten
Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas, eleven days, six countries. San Juan → Barbados → Trinidad → Tobago → Saint Lucia → St. Maarten → San Juan → Key West → Florida.
We landed in San Juan at 3:30am and I'd booked a rainforest tour for 7am the same morning, fully expecting to nap at the airport. Instead the hotel let us check in early at 4am. We slept for two hours and then went on the rainforest tour exhausted. Got back, smoked, ate, and fell asleep at 6pm.
Trinidad was the surprise of the trip — Port of Spain has a city energy I wasn't expecting from the itinerary. Tobago felt like the older, quieter sibling.
Our cabin was on Deck 11, which means you feel every little movement of the ship. Something flipped for me on this trip — even on small boats I'm not bothered anymore, but I started getting nauseous in vans and buses on land, which had never happened before.
Did the steepest zipline in the world somewhere on this trip. In fancy Crocs, because I'd packed for the islands and not the zipline.

The steepest zipline in the world, St. Maarten

Gearing up for the zipline
