Toronto + Saint Lucia + Barbados

A solo birthday trip that started in Toronto. The CN Tower EdgeWalk — strapped into a harness, walking on the outside edge of the tower at 356 meters above the city — was the kind of birthday gift you give yourself when you don't trust anyone else to pick the right one.

I took a Klonopin before going up. It wasn't as bad as I expected — the peer pressure of being out there with five other people helped. I was on the walk with a family from Ireland and a couple from England and a British guide. Needless to say, I did not attempt any accents.

From Toronto down to Saint Lucia and Barbados. Beausejour and Grande Riviere on the western coast of Saint Lucia, Bridgetown in Barbados. A few days of warm water and Caribbean sun to balance the wind chill on the CN Tower walk. I drank Mai Tais and read Outlander on the balcony.
